The Korean Hanbok

Hanbok – the name means “Korean clothing” – is an ancient form of dress that is still relevant today.

Designated National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2022 by the Cultural Heritage Administration of the country, Hanbok have enjoyed renewed success through designers taking up the challenge of making the costume accessible, acceptable and exciting for contemporary tastes. The K-pop movement has helped with huge numbers of fans flocking to websites to purchase items after seeing them worn by their favourite bands.
