The studio library continues to grow.

Keiskamma Art Project is based in the village of Hamburg in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Established by the Keisakamma Trust, an organisation with the aim to “build healthy communities in all respects”, there are four strands to the work of the Trust: Art, Music, Health and Education.
The Art Project produces, amongst ceramics, beading and prints, textile works that speak to South Africa’s past and present. Collaboratively working to produce images that are then stitched into and onto panels, these stories are captured in a unique style and the pieces that the collaborators create range from small pictures to very large installations, some of which you can see here.
Keiskamma Trust was founded by medical doctor turned artist, Carol Hofmeyr, and it provides a meaningful way for, particularly, women to earn a living through creativity, imagination and empowerment. “The Keiskamma Art Project – Restoring life and livelihoods” is a book about this remarkable project and it has now been added to the studio library where it can be read on request.

The Allure of Men is an English language edition of a French book by Francois Baudot, writer and editorial advisor for Elle magazine. The book was published in 2002 and is an exploration of desire, dress and fashion across history through large-scale photographs.
