African fashion in Australia

At the end of this month, the National Gallery of Victoria is hosting an exhibition of African fashion, curated by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

The exhibition will be supported, it is hoped, by photographs from Australian communities with links to the diaspora, particularly those from the independence and liberation period (mid-1950s to 1994). A call for those photographs and stories is ongoing. To find out more about contributing your photographs use the form on this page. If you want instead to share a related fashion story you can send an email to [email protected] and someone from the African Fashion team will get in touch with you.
